  1. I remember a dish that looked like this described in a NYT article about Iranian food. It was the authors mother who made this dish and she wrote that she loved it when the rice at the bottom (before flipped) got slightly crispy. Thats what I think this dish looks like!

  10. I am not sure of the name exactly- but it looks like some kind of pulao/biryani with soy nuggets and pine nuts on top..But if I have to guess I'd say: Shirin plov?

    I think its Upside down Rice/Risotto Pilaf.Uhmmmm guessing some shahi tukda kind of bread strips added.......is it Kasmiri/Persian recipe???

    I like your site it is interesting, though have not tried more than two recipes till now as I am a new cook in the block:))
    Guess necessity made me venture into cooking!! Though enjoy tasting new recipes...

  14. Hi Nupur. I have just begun 'one hot stov'ing' and I am having a lot of fun. I think this idea of posting a photograph first and keeping us poor hungry souls guessing for a complete day is ... what can I say... sweet torture..but a fantastic idea!! I am already salivating.
